So as I’ve been playing the newest DLC for Rebirth, Repentance, I thought it’d be good to take a trip down memory. The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ Jan 3, 2017. it's also free, which is a major bonus for it it's much better if you prefer balanced gameplay and good enemies instead of fun items and trinkets. none of the items or trinkets are really that great, but the bosses are well designed, the new enemies are fantastic, the new floors are really neat, and the new characters are very unique and fun. however, if you don't focus as much on wacky, fun items and instead prefer balanced gameplay, then it might not be the best for youĪntibirth, a fan dlc, is basically the opposite of afterbirth+. the main claim to fame that afterbirth+ has is extremely fun items and trinkets, which it has a plethora of and arguably a higher proportion of fun items than other dlcs. with the booster packs it has definitely been improved a lot with more fun items, more rooms, and more really fun enemies (aside from cross turrets which can go die), but the normal alts are mostly annoying, void portals are annoying, the bosses all range from mediocre to hell, apollyon is a decent but not amazingly unique or fun character, and the void floor is a disappointment. I think that afterbirth+ is worth it as well, but people's opinions may vary.
